Ghaziabad: A fireball-like article which tumbled from the sky close to the railroad station, causing alarm among local people, has been principally found to contain sodium.
As per fire unit authorities, they were educated about the shooting star like substance on Wednesday by local people who had accumulated close to the spot in substantial downpour after hearing a boisterous blast that appeared that of thunder.
Firemen said that significantly in the wake of splashing the flares, the article continued seething.
Locale Magistrate Ajay Shanker Pandey said following the uncommon occasion, geologist S C Sharma and science co-organizer Vivek were sent to the spot to inspect the article.
In their report, it was expressed that the material which tumbled from the sky is by all accounts sodium, as it offered ascend to vapor when it came in contact of water. Tests of the material would be sent to a research facility in Lucknow for additional testing, Pandey said.
