"Around 1,800 of the more than 2,600 trees to be felled have been cut since the previous evening. The remaining are required to be cut today," AAP's Preeti Sharma Menon told Firstpost.
Guaranteeing that the police cordoned off the territory since, she asserted that individuals are being kept since the previous evening itself. "Those confined till 3 am have been discharged. 20-30 individuals captured after 3 am have been taken to Aarey, Dahisar police headquarters. Cognisable offenses have been recorded against them," she said.
"What's more regrettable is that seven to eight young ladies were confined and kept at police headquarters medium-term with no charges. The charges against them were encircled uniquely toward the beginning of the day," she claimed.
Condemning the Shiv Sena for "simply tweeting" about the issue, the AAP pioneer additionally hit out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and said that no other pioneer from any ideological group joined the dissents till 10 am on Saturday.
