'Such one-sided choices useless,' says India after Pakistan squares airspace for President Kovind

The Ministry of External Affairs communicated lament at Pakistan's choice. India on Saturday communicated lament at Pakistan's choice to preclude the utilization from securing its airspace to President Ram Nath Kovind, who will leave on an official visit to Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia on Monday. 



"We lament the choice of the administration of Pakistan to deny overflight freedom for the VVIP uncommon flight which is generally allowed routinely by any typical nation," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated, as indicated by PTI. "We call upon Pakistan to perceive the uselessness of such one-sided activities." 

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had on Saturday said that Islamabad would deny authorization for Kovind's air ship to fly over its airspace. Qureshi said Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had affirmed this choice as a result of India's moves in Jammu and Kashmir. India and Pakistan have occupied with a war of words since New Delhi chose to disavow Jammu and Kashmir's extraordinary status on August 5. Islamabad fought back by suspending two-sided exchange and minimizing ties with New Delhi. It raised the issue at the United Nations Security Council, and undermined take it to the UN Human Rights Council and the International Court of Justice also. 

In February, Pakistan had totally shut its airspace after the Indian Air Force strike on a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Balakot. It later opened its airspace for all flights aside from New Delhi, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur in March.
