Shutting chime: Nifty finishes smidgen underneath 11,700, Sensex falls for second successive day; Metal file plunges 1%

Sectoral pattern is blended with Bank, FMCG, IT and Metals files exchanging higher while Auto and Pharma lost ground. 

Benchmark files shut lower for second successive day in the midst of liquidity emergency and feeble worldwide signals. The Sensex fell 71.53 focuses to 39,122.96 and the Nifty declined 24.40 focuses to 11,699.70. The Nifty Midcap and Smallcap files dropped 0.4 percent each. 
UPL, Yes Bank, M&M, Indiabulls Housing and TCS were top gainers among Nifty50 stocks, rising 1-5 percent though JSW Steel, ONGC, Eicher Motors, Tata Steel and Vedanta fell 2-3 percent. Dependence Power, PC Jeweler, IFCI, Glenmark Pharma, Mahanagar Gas, IGL, Gujarat Gas, Motherson Sumi, Cadila Healthcare, Edelweiss FInancial and Dish TV were down 3-12 percent. Jain Irrigation, HDIL, DHFL, Zee Media, BHEL and NBCC encouraged 3-14 percent. NTPC has consented to a Joint Venture Arrangement with Power Grid Corporation of India to fuse a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with value cooperation of 50:50, individually with a target to attempt the business for circulation of power in dispersion hovers in different States and Union Territories of India and other related exercises.
